Here is a breakdown of the power settings within the Bad Elf GPS app for the Bad Elf Pro, Bad Elf Pro+, and Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor.

Auto-on with USB power

When set to "Yes", this setting causes your Bad Elf GPS to turn on automatically any time it is connected to USB power.

Auto-off when idle

When enabled, this setting will cause your Bad Elf GPS to turn off automatically after the specified interval when a) not connected to USB power, b) not paired with any device over bluetooth, and c) not datalogging.
