1. Turn on your Wombat. It may take up to a minute for the Wombat to fully boot. When this process is completed, the Wi-Fi icon on the Wombat will be solid blue.

Go to the Settings App. Select Wi-Fi from the left panel, and tap on Bad Elf Wombat to connect to it. The Wombat will connect, and it will show No Internet Connection. This is normal and expected. While the Wombat uses Wi-Fi as a bridge, it does not connect your iPad to the internet.

2. Go now to the JDM app. At the top right of the page, you will see it says Wombat Not Connected. At this point, Wombat Not Connected will change to yellow, then to green, then to not having any colored highlight. If it does not automatically begin connecting, tap on Wombat Not Connected, and confirm when prompted, in order to initiate this connection.

3. When the Wombat is connected, you will see this confirmed in the top right corner, saying Wombat Connected. Notice that the Download button will have changed to Transfer buttons, and the Bad Elf Logo has appeared next to Wombat Connected.

4. To check information about your Wombat you can tap Wombat Connected and see your hardware and firmware editions, and as well as model and serial information.
