For your chosen application to make a connection with your elf you will need to know the name that was assigned to your elf.  After pairing your elf with your Mac, this is easy to find.

1.  Under the Apple Menu select About this Mac.

3. You will see the following screen.  Select Bluetooth from the left side menu, in the main pane you will need to scroll to the bottom to find the assigned Outgoing Serial Ports.  One of these will be for your Bad Elf GPS receiver, as shown in the following image.  If an application requests a port/path for bluetooth connection, this assigned name is what it is requesting.  In this example that assigned path is "BadElfGPS001967-Bluetoo".
